What is ArCADia-IFC RVT 2?
In the BIM (Building Information Modelling) project, in which we create not only drawings of the view, but build a digital model of a building, one of the most frequently used formats is the IFC format. Files in this format are exported and imported, among others, in such programs as: Revit, ArchiCAD, Tekla Structures, Allplan, etc. Projects created in the BIM system are not only three-dimensional buildings with given textures, but objects that transfer information about their properties, e.g. materials from all coefficients, sizes and additional data that can be assigned to the elements. The ArCADia-IFC RVT module allows you to import a project from Revit into the native formations of this application, in the RVT file. The created family in RFA format can also be imported as a model.
The ArCADia system in the ArCADia-IFC RVT module reads IFC files without any conversion. This allows for precise reading of the model with all the properties of objects contained in it. The elements are not transformed into system objects, which allows you to open all IFC files regardless of the model structure. Therefore, it does not have to be analogous to the building structure existing in the ArCADia system. Any number of IFC files that can co-exist with the ArCADia system models can be loaded into the project. All models are independent and allow you to check for collisions and to detect e.g. intersections between elements of construction and installations.
Additional functions available in the ArCADia- IFC RVT module
- IFC file import (inserts an independent 3D model to the project).
- Managing IFC models.
- View properties of objects from the IFC model stored in the source program.
- Export of the ArCADia system project to IFC format.
- Import of RVT and RFA files from Revit.
